300 BLK – 10.5 in – HRN 190gr SUB-X – Hodgdon Lil Gun

Objective:

I am developing this load to be shot out of an SBR with a suppressor. This will mainly be used to hunt hogs at night at distances less than 100 yards. The goal is to find a powder that produces reasonable accuracy (~ 1 MOA) and consistent velocities around 1,050 fps.

  • Temperature: 60F
Firearm:
  • Barrel: Roscoe Bloodline 10.5” 1:7 Twist

Load / Model Data:

Results:
  • 8.2 Grains
  • 8.6 Grains
Summary:

With 8.2gr of Hodgdon Lil’ Gun the velocities were right in line with the goal. However, the accuracy wasn’t what I was looking for and this load didn’t lock my bolt back on the last round. I found other loads that performed better durring my testing and wouldn’t use this.
