350 Legend – 12.5in – HRN 147gr XTP – Hodgdon H-110

Remarks:

To overcome feeding issues with the 350 Legend, I changed the buffer to an H1 and installed a Wolff Extra Power Carbine Buffer Spring. I haven’t had any feeding issues since doing this..

Objective:

This load is more of a test to see how this bullet does out of this gun. This is a personal defense bullet intended for 9mm pistol rounds. This might be a decent hog hunting round at less than 150 yards, or a personal defense round in the 350 legend. But at this time, I just want to see how it shoots.

Summary:

The actual velocities were very close to the expected velocities from the model, but the accuracy wasn’t super impressive. For hunting hogs inside of 150 yards, it would work. I would like to see how these bullets hold up in ballistic gel at 2,000+ fps to see if they will hold together.
