Objective:
I am developing this load to be shot out of an SBR with a suppressor. This will mainly be used to hunt hogs at night at distances less than 100 yards. The goal is to find a powder that produces reasonable accuracy (~ 1 MOA) and consistent velocities around 1,050 fps.
Conditions:
- Date: 10/8/22
- Temperature: 60F
Firearm:
- Barrel: Roscoe Bloodline 10.5” 1:7 Twist
- Upper: PSA
- Lower: PSA
- Lower Parts: PSA
- Trigger: Larue MBT2
Components:
- Bullet: Hornady 190 gr SUB-X – G1 B.C.: 0.437
- Powder: Accurate 2200
- Primer: CCI #41
- Brass: Lake City
- Dies: Hornady 2-die set
- Chronograph: Caldwell Ballistic Precision
Measurements:
- Case Trim Length: 1.358
- C.O.L.: 2.050
Load / Model Data:
- Charge Data

- Expected Ballistics Table

- Expected Bullet Drop

Results:
- 12.5 Grains

- 13.0 Grains
Summary:
With 13.0gr of Accurate 2200 the velocities a little below the goal. The accuracy was great at lower velocity but dropped as I got closer to 1,050 fps. As a bonus, this load locked my bolt back on the last round. Accurate 2200 is also a viable powder, but I am going with Accurate LT-30 for now.
