I am using this website to record my reloading experiences. The purpose of this endeavor is to create hunting loads with an emphasis on reloading for Short Barreled Rifles and/or AR and AK Pistols as information for these can be hard to come by. This load data is for information purposes only. This site documents the loads that I have tested in my rifles. If you use these loads in your firearms, you are taking responsibility for doing so.
Why SBRs? Living in Texas, we are in constant battle trying to control the wild hog population. Much of our hunting for hogs is done at night at close range <200 yards. With hunting at night, you can add thermal scopes, IR laser and light, suppressor, etc. So a smaller, more maneuverable rifle is preferred, and in my opinion, more enjoyable to shoot.
As you are sacrificing significant muzzle velocity by going to an SBR, the goal of hand loading ammunition is to maximize speed and accuracy and if possible, do so safely (joking). This page will be used to document my load development and testing.
